Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Died in an LA Traffic Collision
Vince Zampella, who helped create the wildly popular franchise Call of Duty, has tragically died in a car accident in California aged 55.
The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the development studio that he helped create.
The influential game designer lost his life when his car crashed and burst into flames on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is a devastating loss, and our hearts are with his family and friends, his family, and the countless individuals inspired by his creative vision," a representative from Electronic Arts said.
