Two individuals are now facing charges related to a suitcase robbery where a believed to be irritant spray resulted in harm at the UK's busiest airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.

This legal action stems from an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage taken after exiting a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.

A young child was among those injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to a medical facility and were later discharged.

This event – described by police as was isolated and not being treated as terrorism – led to train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
