Homages Continue for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Face a Security Hold.

More than two weeks following the shocking loss of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones persist in remembering the duo.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Posting on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt prepared to share openly about his deep grief.

"Adequate time has passed that I can finally articulate my loss into words," wrote Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner created an instant bond. "When we commenced spending more time together I understood this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor uploaded archival material from the production, commenting that he cannot recall "a single day without mirth".

"This story is about affection, allegiance and giving. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. This is one of the many reasons he was the perfect person to direct it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "To say that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He concluded with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Friend and Collaborator

In a different tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with his co-stars, and he understood the human predicament of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles judge decided to prevent the publication of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, following a petition from the LAPD.

A court order put a restriction on the files to restrict the public release of "related notes, documents, files or images" pertaining to the ongoing investigation.

The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the consequence of murder, with a record noting the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Aftermath and Reactions

Following the tragedy, public personalities shared divergent comments.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, offering provocative claims that were met with immediate backlash by numerous commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his perspective to the critics recently. Talking on his show, Rogan labeled the statements as "disturbing" and suggested they showed a concerning lack of empathy.

Rogan concluded by suggesting that an aide should have intervened when the decision to weigh in on the passing was made.
